TIER 4 COVID RESTRICTIONS Following the announcement by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, SETA echoes the advice given by England Touch for all clubs and individuals within the South East. At 8PM today, Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared that the entire country will be re-entering a full national lockdown. Therefore all Touch leagues, training sessions, group fitness sessions, and games must now cease. Naturally, all sessions carried out virtually through video conferencing is allowed. Please continue to listen and follow government guidance as well as keeping up to date with ETA’s response to the pandemic. England Touch has announced that we are now back to Stage 1: Prepare. CLICK HERE to find out more. In short we are returning to the rules of lockdown exercised in the spring: Households and support bubbles will be able to exercise once a day Individuals can meet with only one other person outdoors for exercise Do not travel outside of your local area unless for work, to seek medical help or prescriptions, and for emergencies Please do not leave your household to socialise with anyone outside of your support bubble Stay 2 metres apart from anyone not in your household To follow the latest information and guidance from the UK Government, please CLICKING HERE . Unfortunately, the entire country remains under the cloud that is COVID-19. We got through it in early 2019 by pulling together, helping each other out by staying in. Stay safe and keep you and your loved ones healthy. Make sure that you are checking in with those around you that you are unable to see. During these lockdowns SETA is working hard at making sure that when we do emerge from this lockdown there will be a full calendar of events, training workshops, and opportunities to develop the sport throughout the South East. Events to look forward to include the inaugural Club Championships, Touch Taster sessions, Referee Badge upgrades, and the Road To Nationals. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy lockdown. Please email seta@eta.co.uk if you have questions regarding the announcement and any COVID updates for the South East. There is more general advice about sport and exercise on the Sport England website .
